On the Land Aañ Michif

Louis Riel Institute's summer program, "On the Land Aañ Michif," provided an engaging family learning experience centered around the Southern Michif language.

Led by Métis paddling experts and advanced Michif Language learners, participants not only enjoyed water activities but also immersed themselves in Métis culture. The program included dynamic language activities, games, and the singing of new paddling songs, all contributing to the vibrant experience of Southern Michif. Each paddle stroke deepened participants' connection to their heritage, creating lasting memories and instilling a genuine appreciation for Métis ways of life.

To enhance learning, comprehensive video sets were created. These resources are designed for both learners and teachers to study and practice the acquired knowledge diligently.
