[00:19] - F: Hello, hello.
[00:23] - Something different, I am going to try to do here tonight.
I have here a little book that I found.
There is no words, only pictures.
Although there was words, but I covered them up because I wanted to tell my own story from the pictures.
And so now I will start.
[00:51] - The book is called Nookhom Grandma but, because I am telling the story, this book, I will say
[01:05] Grandma. The first page here you can see Grandma, her grandchild, you can see a woman and a little girl.
And so I will start my story this way.
[01:23] - The little girl came to visit her grandma.
[01:28] Grandma is happy to see her grandchild, the little girl here. They are sitting on the sofa couch and-
[01:39] - And they are both laughing. The little girl is looking at her grandma and laughing. She's so happy to see her grandma. The woman is wearing a shirt, white with purple flowers, the little girl is wearing a blue shirt with two buttons in front of her shirt. And the little girl has black hair, but she has long hair, her. Her grandma has short hair and has a head full of curls, this one, this grandma. They are both laughing.
[02:34] - Ah, she slept overnight, this little girl. She slept overnight. When she got up in the morning she came to the kitchen. Meanwhile [02:45]Kookum is cooking, she is cooking something. You can see her with a spoon. She is holding a spoon and stirring something in the saucepan. The little girl came to look, maybe it's porridge, maybe it's eggs. I don't know what Grandma is cooking for breakfast.
[03:10] - This little girl she woke up, her. She washed, she combed her hair, and she put pigtails in her hair (on her head).
[03:22] Kookum, she's wearing a blue shirt with white and flowers, pink flowers with roses she has on her shirt. The little girl, her has a white shirt. [03:39] is standing in front of the stove, she's cooking. She is smiling. "Ah, good morning" she told the little girl. She was so happy that she woke up and saw her.
[04:02] - Here now, on this page, you don't see them eating. The little girl, I guess, is finished eating already.
[04:09] Kookum she's still eating a biscuit, a bannock biscuit. She's still eating, her. They are laughing, though. The little girl is looking at her grandma eating, and she's laughing her too. You can see a door beside
[04:26] there, you can see a door. Maybe that's where the little girl slept, maybe that's her room.
[04:41] - Here now, on this page, after
[04:44] finish eating she washed the dishes. The little girl, her, she went to play.
[04:51]Kookum washed dishes, she cleaned the kitchen, and here now she is sweeping the floor where the sofa couch was. You can see dust on her broom- under her broom. You can see dust under her broom. She really did a good cleaning, this grandma.
[05:14] - And so here, after she finished cleaning, she called her grandchild. "Come," she said "come and sit here. We will read a book. I will read a book for you." And so the little girl come sat near her grandmother. They were looking at a book. Grandma is holding the book, the little girl is holding Grandma's hand, Grandma is reading. They are smiling, they are happy at what they're looking at.
[06:01] - Here now the little girl went to play for a while.
[06:06]Kookum thought 'I will call her again, the little girl'. "My grandchild" she said. She thought 'I will show her how to weave.' And so she called her grandchild. The little girl came and sat there and she taught her how to weave. "You put it like this, all this" she said. "Look at me really close, you too can try it later." They are sitting there on the sofa couch.
[06:44] - And so now Grandma is starting to get tired and so she thought 'Again I will sit on the sofa couch.' "I will rest for a while" she said. You can see Grandma with her hand in front of her mouth. She put it there because she was yawning, she was so tired. She closed her eyes, too.
[07:14] - Here on the last page, now,
[07:17] Kookum thought 'I will lay down for a while, and I'll get up and again we'll do something with my grandchild' she thought. And so she fell asleep though, Grandma. The little girl came, she saw her grandma was sleeping, so she went and got a blanket. She covered her grandma. 'Let her sleep' she thought. 'When she gets up, Grandma, we will do something again. Me, I will go sit over there. I will look at another book, or I will play quietly' she thought. She covered her grandma, she said 'let her sleep.'
[07:55] - That's all, I am finished the story.
